The author of Collage Vintage blog, Sara Escudero, came to Lisbon for an exclusive feature for VOGUE SPAIN with MELIE in regard to KENDALL+KYLIE collection. She seems to want to wipe out all the urban legends associated with maxi skirts: they are way too formal, they don’t fit petite girls … “Being a short girl I always heard  that long skirts are not for me, and I wanted to change that perception, as a challenge. It’s all about  how you combine it and there’s nothing that a pair of high heels or a monochromatic combination can’t solve” she states.

One of the most representative looks of the entire Jenner sister’s collection: A little black dress with a simple pattern and lace-up front with tie closure. Impossible not to imagine Kendall or Kylie wearing it. It is a very interesting item due to the fact it is extremely elegant and classic, as a LBD, but with a sexy twist. Sara confirms its magnetism: “I’ve always loved them (the LBD’s), specially when they are combined in an elegant and simple look, because with this type of neckline it is easy to fall into vulgar looks. I always try to mix it with girly pieces avoiding, the sexy ones.” said Sara.

This striped off-shoulder top is my favorite piece from Kendall & Kylie’s collection. It is everything! The sexy cut off the shoulders, and the stripe pattern are two requirements that I definitely love. I like to bring it into a casual look with jeans or suede skirts” says Sara in regard to the star piece of the Jenner sister’s.

The fluid lightweight trenchcoat is one of the key pieces of the season (oh such a coincidence!). One of the favorite styles of Jenner sister’s. This one, from KENDALL+KYLIE collection is truly special. With wide sleeves and an overlay cape, it’s pink wash colour, simply goes with everything. “The trench has always been for me a basic wardrobe piece and this one I like especially because it has an original cut that highlights when compared to the classics. I like to be able to adapt to any style without thinking too much about it, just dress whatever you want and put the trench on. ” -Sara says.

When asked about her five favorite clothes for summer, Sara responds almost without hesitation: “The cut-out denim shorts, sandals, straw hats, striped tops and white dresses,” therefore the last pieces couldn’t be missed in the photoshoot.
